The Gibraltar Vikings hope a trip around the bay to Gillett cures their season's ails when they battle the Tigers on Friday night.
The Vikings are 0-4 on the season, including last week's 43-8 loss to county rival Sevastopol. An 80-plus-yard touchdown catch by Will Lecy from Giovanni Mercier was the Vikings' lone offensive highlight of the game. Lecy has been pacing the team's offense all season long as the Vikings' leading receiver and rusher.
The Tigers have struggled offensively since losing Jesse DeBauch to injury. The team has not scored since their 34-32 loss to Three Lakes/Phelps in the season opener, in which DeBauch accounted for 354 yards. They have been outscored 110-0 since, including last week's 36-0 defeat to Lena/St. Thomas Aquinas.
Tim Kowols will have the call on 105.1 The GOAT and NEWRadioSportsNetwork.com beginning at 6:45 p.m. with the pregame show followed by the kickoff from Gillett at 7 p.m.
