United earns one win in Wrightstown tournament

Gibraltar/Sevastopol United boys varsity soccer traveled to Wrightstown on Saturday, September 21 for tournament play in a field that included Altoona, Howards Grove, Kewaunee, Marinette, New Holstein, and Random Lake/Ozaukee. United talied one win and two losses on the day, giving the team a 3-3 record in tournament matches for the year. 

 

United opened with a 3-1 win against Random Lake/Ozaukee, with goals from juniors Brandon Mayorga (11'), Damien Lardinois (15') and Mauricio Fernandez.  That ended the regulation scoring for United, with a 0-2 loss to Marinette and a 0-0 shootout defeat to Howards Grove. 

 

The next regular season game for United is Packerland Conference action on Thursday, September 26, 4:30pm at Providence Academy.
