Vikings win suspended game over Sevastopol

The Gibraltar/Washington Island Vikings defeated the Sevastopol Pioneers 13-1 on Tuesday in a game suspended in April due to darkness at 5-0.  Aaron Brey led the Viking attack with four RBIs.

 

Bennett Isaacson-Krueger picked up the win for Gibraltar/Washington Island Vikings. Allowing no runs or hits over three innings while striking out five and walking one.  Brady Kita got the save in the final four innings, allowing just one unearned run. Chase Haberli took the loss for the Pioneers.

 

Owen Dannhausen, Brey, and Liam Lindenberg each had two hits for the Vikings, who benefited from eight walks in the game.

 

Gibraltar will now travel to NEW Lutheran for a doubleheader on Friday in a game that will be broadcast on 105.1 The Goat.
