Gibraltar, Southern Door tangle in Brussels on 105.1 The GOAT

The Gibraltar Vikings boys' basketball takes a two-game winning streak to Brussels on Tuesday night when they play the Southern Door Eagles.

The Vikings snapped a nine-game losing streak with a 66-30 home win over Sevastopol last Thursday before following it up two days later with a 57-41 victory against St. Lawerence Seminary.  The Vikings powered past their hosts 33-17 in the Saturday matchup to win. Braden Sitte continues to lead the team in scoring but has been complemented well by Liam Lindenberg's outside shooting and Marshall Maltby's inside game.

The Eagles have been the class of the Packerland Conference all season long as they enter the matchup with a perfect 12-0 mark to go along with their 16-4 overall mark. A big reason they have been so successful this season is Drew Daoust, who is among the state leaders in scoring with 34.4 ppg and eclipsed 2,000 points in his career his last time out in a 66-45 win over Algoma. That's not the only reason why Matthew Malvitz is nearly averaging a double-double (8.9 ppg, 10.2 rpg), and Caden Pierre is acting as a sharpshooter himself at 9.2 ppg.

Tim Kowols will have the call on 105.1 The GOAT beginning at 7:15 p.m. with the pregame show followed by the tip-off at 7:30 p.m. The game will also be streamed worldwide at NEWRadioSportsNetwork.com.
