The Gibraltar girls' basketball team saw their comeback come up short on Monday in a 44-42 loss to NEW Lutheran in Fish Creek.

Ingrid Beaumont scored 14 of her game-high 24 points in the first half to help stake the Blazers to a 24-15 lead at halftime. Evan DeBroux would not back down, outscoring the Blazers the rest of the way behind strong second half performances from Mikala Gorham and Andie Schar. Gorham scored eight of her 11 points in the second half while Schar's evening ended with 16 points. Pam Prescott and Anna Jarosh chipped in five points apiece in the loss for the Vikings.
