Gibraltar boys open New Year at Two Rivers on 105.1 The GOAT Tuesday

The Gibraltar Vikings will try to stretch their longest winning streak of the season at least one more game on Tuesday when they travel to Two Rivers to battle the Raiders.

The Vikings snapped their three-game losing streak with wins against Sevastopol and Goodman-Pembine. While Braden Sitte continues to lead the team in scoring with over 20 points, head coach Travis Ward highlighted the hot-shooting Liam Lindenberg and the defensive prowess of Will Lecy as ways the team is becoming more complete heading into the back half of the season. Ward called their last game "another ugly win," saying his team struggled to figure out the Patriots' zone defense in the first half before pulling away in the second half. One person who figured it out was Marshall Maltby, scoring 10 of his season-high 16 points in the first half. Sitte led all scorers with 19 points, scoring 10 points after the break, including his first three-pointer of the season.

The Raiders split their two games at the Oostburg Holiday Tournament, beating Destiny 56-38 before falling to the host Flying Dutchmen 61-47. Boasting more height than the Vikings have been used to this season, it is a trio of six-footers leading the Raiders in scoring, led by 19.6 ppg by Carson Kadow.

Tim Kowols and Matt Malvitz will have the call on 105.1 The GOAT beginning at 7:00 p.m. with the pregame show, followed by the opening tip at 7:15 p.m. The game can also be streamed at 1051TheGOAT.com and NEWRadioSportsNetwork.com.
