Gibraltar boys bang out big win against Goodman-Pembine

The Gibraltar Vikings enter their holiday break on a two-game winning streak after beating Goodman-Pembine on Thursday night  46-31.

Head coach Travis Ward called it another ugly win, saying his team struggled to figure out the Patriots' zone defense in the first half before pulling away in the second half. One person who figured it out was Marshall Maltby, scoring 10 of his season-high 16 points in the first half. Braden Sitte led all scorers with 19 points, scoring 10 points after the break, including his first three-pointer of the season.

Ryan Ehlert scored 18 points for the Patriots as Will Lecy denied the offensive stalwart his 1000th point.

The Vikings are off until January 2nd, when they will face the Two Rivers Raiders. Tim Kowols will have the call on 105.1 The GOAT and NEW RadioSportsNetwork when the game tips off at 7:15 p.m.
