Vikings boys search for conference win in Oconto on 105.1 the GOAT

Gibraltar looks for their first Packerland Conference of the season when they make their way around the bay to Oconto.

The Vikings could not overcome the NEW Lutheran  Blazers Tuesday night at home, despite the big night by Braeden Sitte, falling 61-51. The Vikings stayed close until half as the Blazers hit a three-pointer at the buzzer to take a 30-28 lead into intermission and were outscored 31-23 after the break. Sitte scored early and often finished with a game-high 34 points in the loss. Despite what the record may say, head coach Travis Ward is happy with the effort he has seen from his team so far this season as they try to fit many new pieces into the varsity rotation.

The Blue Devils are a perfect 4-0 on the year and 2-0 in the Packerland Conference to start the year. Carter Koch followed up his 40-point performance against Sturgeon Bay last week with a 20-point night to help lead the Blue Devils to a 51-48 win over the Blue Devils. Koch (28.8 ppg) is supported by Cooper Campsure (11.2 ppg) and Jackson Martin (10.2 ppg).

Tim Kowols will have the call on 105.1 the GOAT and NEWRadioSportsNetwork.com beginning at 7:15 p.m. with the pregame show followed by the tip-off at 7:30 p.m.
