Gibraltar, Sevastopol renew rivalry on 105.1 The GOAT

Door County's eight-player football rivalry gets renewed on Thursday night when Gibraltar plays host to Sevastopol.

The Vikings' playoff hopes grew murkier last week in Gibraltar's 38-15 loss to Oneida Nation/NEW Lutheran last week. Braden Sitte accumulated over 150 all-purpose yards and two touchdowns for the Vikings, but the team's eight turnovers doomed them as they lost their second game in a row. With 17 teams with two losses or fewer eligible for the playoffs, a loss could potentially have the Vikings on the outside looking instead of booking a trip to their second straight trip to the playoffs.

The Pioneers would love to play spoiler for the Vikings and earn their first victory of the season. The team found themselves down 38-8 to Algoma last week before eventually losing the game 48-32. Logan Schuh had over 130 yards of total offense while being responsible for three of the Pioneers' four touchdowns.

Tim Kowols will have the call on 105.1 The GOAT and NEWRadioSportsNetwork.com beginning at 6:45 p.m. with the pregame show followed by the kickoff at 7 p.m.
