United soccer calms Storm

Gibraltar/Sevastopol United defeated Kewaunee Storm 2-1 Monday evening in a contest officially designated as a scrimmage, with only two officials present.

 

Kewaunee’s Evan Maccaux stunned the Fish Creek crowd when he scored a deep goal for Kewaunee in the opening minute of the match. United’s Trey Perlman scored the equalizer in the 11th minute on a breakaway to send the match into a 1-1 tie at halftime. Damien Lardinois hit the game-winner in a one-on-one play with the Storm keeper in the 75th minute.

 

United heads to Sturgeon Bay to face Sturgeon Bay on Thursday, October 5th at 7 p.m. The game will be broadcast on U-102.1 beginning at 6:45 p.m. with the pregame show with Bryan Mazur and Peter Kerwin on the call.
