Gibraltar's McKailey Reisen has a few more chances to register some personal records this season.

 

That was her focus earlier in the week as she prepared for her first appearance at the WIAA State Track Meet in LaCrosse this Friday and Saturday. She walked out of the stadium last week not knowing if she would be competing in one event or two. She clinched her spot in the 100m hurdles with a personal best and a third-place finish. She was excited to learn the following morning that her best high jump of the day was good enough to make the state meet as an extra qualifier. Reisen said her season's highlight was at the conference meet hosted at St. Norbert College for more than one reason. Not only was it on a red track (her favorite), she was also able to break the school record for the 100m hurdles event.

 

 

Reisen was given a hero's exit on Thursday ahead of Friday's start of the state track meet. You can see where and when she will compete below.
