The Gibraltar softball team hopes a one-game foray into the non-conference schedule can lead to their first victory of the season when they host Crivitz on Thursday.
The Vikings have been outscored 148-9 in Packerland Conference play so far this season. They have only scored more than three runs once this season, compared to giving up double-digit totals in all nine of their games. That includes losses to Southern Door last week 22-3 and 11-1.
The Wolverines' offense has found its stroke since it lost to Coleman on April 24th. In their three wins against Menominee Indian, St. Thomas Aquinas, and Gillett/Suring, the Wolverines scored 51 runs while allowing just six runs.
The first pitch is scheduled for 4:30 p.m.
