Gibraltar baseball looks to stunt skid vs. Peshtigo on 105.1 The GOAT

The Gibraltar Vikings baseball team looks to stop its longest losing streak of the season on Tuesday when they welcome Peshtigo to Fish Creek.

The Vikings had won seven of their first eight games prior to their recent four-game losing streak. The Vikings have given up at least seven runs in each of the four games and allowed double-digit totals during last weekend's games against host Adams-Friendship and St. Mary's Springs. The pitching and defense had otherwise been keeping opponents at bay, allowing 20 fewer runs during the previous eight games (22 runs allowed) than they have in the last four contests (42 runs allowed last week).

The Bulldogs are in the middle of their own four-game losing streak which also included a two-game sweep at the hands of Southern Door. Their pitchers struggled against the Eagles' bats even more than the Vikings did, allowing 32 runs across the pair of games. They started the skid with a pair of losses to Algoma.

The doubleheader is scheduled to start at 4 p.m. with Tim Kowols and 105.1 The GOAT beginning its coverage at 3:45 p.m. with the pregame show. High winds may postpone the series, however, so stay tuned for up-to-date details on if the games are played.
