The Gibraltar girls' basketball team dug themselves into a deep hole they could not dig out of in their 74-42 loss to Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah Saturday afternoon.

The Vikings found themselves down 49-17 after the first half after Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah's Kat Miller scored 19 of her 24 points in the opening stanza. Her partner-in-crime was Coryn Fromm, who picked up where Miller left off with 18 of her 31 points in the second half.

Andie Schar did her part to not let the score get any worse in the second half, scoring 16 of her team-high 20 points after halftime. Mikala Gorham added eight points in the loss.
