Vikings girls look to build momentum versus Gillett

The Gibraltar Vikings girls basketball team will look to make it two wins in a row when they host Gillett in a non-conference matchup on Thursday night.

After a 61-49 win over the Sturgeon Bay Clippers on Tuesday night, the Vikings will get right back on the court and try to keep their momentum swinging their way. A very strong performance from Andie Schar led the Vikings to their victory, as she got it done on both ends to improve on her impressive season so far. The supporting cast around her has been improving throughout the season as well, as Colleen Carlisle and Betsy Lecy have become reliable scorers for Gibraltar as well.

Gillett has been strong so far this season, as they post a 6-4 record coming into the matchup, with a 4-4 record in the Marinette & Oconto Conference. Carleigh Kaczmarek has been the leader so far for the Tigers, as she has scored 15.8 points per game and 3 assists to go along with it. The Tigers defeated the Vikings last season in their matchup, winning 53-32.

Tipoff from Fish Creek is set for 7:00 P.M.
