Still searching for their first Packerland conference win, the Gibraltar Vikings boys basketball team will welcome in the Oconto Blue Devils for a Packerland Conference matchup. 

Gibraltar’s lone win remains the win over Wabeno/Laona back in early December, as the Vikings find themselves 1-6 overall and 0-3 in conference play. The team got a boost in the 52-62 loss Tuesday night as they welcomed back their top returning scorer from injury as Will Friedenfels dropped in 14 in his first game back. He will fit well next to an emerging Jake Schar, who’s scoring has dropped off from early in the season, but he still averages 17 points per game.

For Oconto, they have turned their season around since their December 6th loss to Sturgeon Bay that dropped them to .500. Since that game the Blue Devils have been 4-2 in their last six games, including a current 2 game win streak against non-conference opponents Chilton and Oconto Falls.
