Vikings open up new season versus Kohler after memorable past

Coming off of a trip to the Kohl Center last season, Gibraltar will look to continue that success as they open their season on the road against Kohler.

The underdog run of Gibraltar last season came with a 19-11 overall record and an 8-8 record in the Packerland. Sam Lindenberg was the star of the team, but some great games from role players like Jake Schar and Will Friedenfels made the team what they were. The Vikings will be without Will Friedenfels and Brady Kita for the beginning of the season, due to some injuries that they suffered during the football season.

Kohler has been a strong team for the past few seasons, and last season might have been one of their more down seasons. Finishing 12-13 overall and 8-11 in the Big East conference, the Blue Bombers lost in the second round of the WIAA playoffs to Sheboygan Lutheran 89-60. Kohler will lose their leading scorer Charlie Roeder, but still have Trey Keller on the team, who averaged 12.9 Points Per Game.
