Gibraltar football looks for homecoming win on 105.1 The GOAT

The Gibraltar Vikings hope to give its homecoming revelers something to cheer about when they welcome Oneida Nation/NEW Lutheran to Fish Creek on Friday.

 

The Vikings delivered one of their most thrilling victories in recent memory last Friday night when they returned from a 30-7 second quarter deficit to win 54-50 to claim the sole lead in the Peninsula Conference. Brady Kita accounted for six touchdowns (four passing, two rushing) and just shy of 380 all-purpose yards in the win. Marshall Maltby and Jack Duffy led the way for the defense with 13 tackles a piece.

 

The United has struggled to keep up with teams this season, being outscored 170-56 in its five conference games as it looks for its first victory. Reid Nelson leads the offense for the United, throwing for over 470 yards and rushing for another 200. They lost to Algoma in a palindromic event 42-24. 

 

Tim Kowols and Jacob Nate will have the call on 105.1 The GOAT and NEWRadioSportsNetwork.com beginning at 6:45 p.m. with the pregame show followed by the opening kick at 7 p.m.
