The Gibraltar Vikings' boys basketball team has been a glutton for excitement over the last week of games ahead of their matchup Tuesday against Sevastopol.

The Vikings had a blowout victory, but their games against Oconto and Peshtigo were not for the faint of heart. Sam Lindenberg scored 21 points and Jake Schar added 11 points, but a late stand was still needed to escape Peshtigo with a 49-48 victory. The Vikings have won six of their last seven and five in a row entering Tuesday's game.

The Pioneers have not won in 2022 with their closest opportunity coming against Algoma last week where a first-half lead turned into a heart-breaking 40-37 loss. Nick Peterson scored 16 points and two others scored in double figures in their most recent 87-52 loss to Kewaunee.
