The Gibraltar/Sevastopol soccer team took a highly-regarded St. Lawrence Seminary team to the brink on Thursday, falling in penalty kicks 3-2 after play ended with a 4-4 tie.

The game was tied 3-3 at the end of regulation and the Vikineers were in the lead for a little bit during the first overtime period. The Hilltoppers forced the penalty kicks with a goal of their own with two minutes left in the extra period.

The Vikineers end their season with an 8-8-2 mark.
