Gibraltar football looks for rebound against Laona-Wabeno on 105.1 The GOAT

The Gibraltar Vikings hope to put last Thursday's game in the rear-view mirror when it hosts Laona-Wabeno on Saturday afternoon in Fish Creek.

The Vikings lost their last game 50-22 to Three Lakes despite Will Friedenfels hauling in two passes from Sam Lindenberg to the tune of 108 yards and two touchdowns. After Bela Salm boasted the big plays in the season opener, Gibraltar head coach Mike Peck says it is good example of how hard it can be to play them if they are executing.

The Rebels come into the game 2-0 with a pair of shutouts while averaging 40 points a game. Peck says this is not the team they saw three years ago when the Vikings won 28-24 despite giving up over 350 yards rushing and averaged 183 yards on the ground a game.

Tim Kowols and Reece Robillard will have the game on 105.1 The GOAT, 1051TheGOAT.com, and NEWRadioSportsNetwork.com beginning at 12:30 p.m. with the pregame show followed by kickoff at 1 p.m. You can listen to our full interview with Peck by clicking this link.
