The alphabet soup known as the MONLPC-8 East will be no more after this alternative spring season.

The WIAA announced on Monday plans to form 11 eight-man football conferences as more schools transition to the sport. As of right now, the newly formed Peninsula Conference has many old faces to it. Algoma, Gibraltar, Gillett, Green Bay N.E.W Luth/Oneida/Providence Academy, Lena/St Thomas Aquinas, Sevastopol, Suring, and Wausaukee will make up the conference. The only true new member to the conference is Algoma, which was considered an independent in 2019 after make the switch to eight-man football and will be idle for the 2020 fall and 2021 alternative spring seasons.
