Vikings boys return home for Algoma matchup

The Gibraltar boys' basketball team hopes the friendly confines of their Fish Creek gymnasium can help them get back in the win column against Algoma Monday night.

The Vikings fell in its last game on Friday at home 80-49 to Sturgeon Bay. Will Friedenfels was able to find plenty of good looks to lead the Vikings with 15 points, but no one else scored more than eight in the defeat. The Vikings continue to play without its leading scorer and three-point specialist Sam Lindenberg.

The Wolves are still looking for their first conference win of the season after losing to Peshtigo its last time out on Saturday 66-37. Kaden Vardon scored 15 in the loss. It marked the fourth time in eight tries the Wolves could not crack the 40 point barrier.
