Vikings look to snap skid against Pioneers

The Gibraltar Vikings boys' basketball team hopes to reverse their recent fortunes when they play at home against Sevastopol on Friday night.

The Vikings have lost three straight after start the season off 4-1. Head coach Justin Burress knew this stretch of games that included Peshtigo, Oconto, and Southern Door was going to be tough. He believes the offense is there, but the defense has to improve.

Burress gave credit to Sam Lindenberg, Spencer Krause, and Luke Steebs for having strong offensive starts to the year.

The Pioneers come into the game without a Packerland Conference win and their only victories coming against NEWCHAA and Tigerton. The Pioneers had almost a month off from playing games in December due to quarantine issues and holiday break.
