Vikings girls look to keep winning streak against Bulldogs

The Gibraltar Vikings girls' basketball team hopes to keep their winning streak alive when they host the Peshtigo Bulldogs on Monday night.

The Vikings won its last time out, beating Sturgeon Bay 65-35 at home. Sage Krause led a quartet of double-digit scorers with 19 points. Colleen Carlisle added another 15 points in the win.  Krause is currently the third-leading scorer in the Packerland Conference at 16.6 points per game.

The Bulldogs enter the game with an almost identical 3-1 record on the year. Led Sydney Lund's 13.3 points per game, the Bulldogs are undefeated in Packerland play including a 53-43 win over NEW Lutheran in its last game. Lund's 20 points played a major role when the two team played earlier this year when the Bulldogs beat the Vikings 44-42 in Peshtigo. Krause scored 12 points for the Vikings, but no other player was able to reach double figures in the loss.
