It turns out one Gibraltar sports team will have a fall season after all.

The Vikings cross country team will be able to compete this fall despite the school board's decision earlier this week to move its other autumn sports to an alternative spring season. That means members of the football, volleyball, and joint swimming and soccer teams could either wait it out or do a fourth sport potentially. 

The catch is who do they run against. Most invitationals have been ruled out and the Packerland Conference has limited competitions to schools that are in the low to moderate levels. Door County just entered the moderate level earlier this week, but no other county within the Packerland Conference is there quite yet. That means Gibraltar's only other opponents could be Sturgeon Bay, Sevastopol, and Southern Door.
