The Gibraltar boys' basketball team played better in the second half, but could not dig out of a big first-half deficit in its 66-49 loss to Oconto Thursday night.

The Vikings were able to outscore the Blue Devils in the second half 32-26, but that only chipped away at the 23 point deficit it faced entering the frame. Luke Steebs and Sam Lindenberg led the Vikings in the scoring department, collecting 15 and 10 points. Marcus Reinhardt was right behind with nine points, get all of his points from behind the arc. The Blue Devils were led by Josh Woller's 17 points.

The Vikings are back at it again Friday night as they face St. Lawrence Seminary in Mount Calvary, Wisconsin near Milwaukee at 7 p.m.
