The Gibraltar girls' basketball team is sitting in the middle of a crowded Packerland Conference ahead of its matchup with Algoma.

The Vikings took their lumps in conference play while star player Abbi Sitte nursed an injury, going 0-5 during that stretch. They have been fighting back strong in recent games, winning their last two. The game is a rematch of a low-scoring affair that saw the Vikings prevail 39-22. Sitte scored 19 points in the game while Maggie Moroney and Sage Krause each added seven. The Vikings defense held the Wolves to just 18 percent shooting from the field with no player scoring more than six points.
