Vikings sweep Storm in volleyball

The Gibraltar volleyball team took full advantage of its homecoming crowd and swept the Kewaunee Storm in three straight sets Thursday night.

 

The Vikings did not let the Storm hit the 20-point plateau until the third set, taking the first two 25-18 and 25-9. In their closest set of the night, the Vikings captured the match with a 25-20 score.

 
Abbi Sitte led the way from the setter position, collecting 20 assists, 9 kills, 9 digs, and 1 block. 
Agne Zukauskaite was force offensively with13 kills and 2 aces while Bella Bunda also scored 9 kills. Sage Krause and Zukauskaite each had a good night defensively getting  25  and 22 digs respectively.
 
The Vikings play again on Saturday at the Port Washington Invitational while the Storm plays county rival Algoma on Tuesday.
