The Gibraltar Vikings football team hope to make it two in a row on the young season when they travel to take on the Suring Eagles on 105.1 The Viking Friday night.

 

The Vikings' offense got back on track last Thursday during its 52-26 win over Gillett. The output has placed Luke Steebs as the conference's leader in passing yards and two of his favorite targets, Alex Laughlin and Brandon Stillman, in the top three for receiving. The defense will have its work cut out for them with Suring's Logan Staurt rushing the ball at a clip of over 250 yards per game. Like many teams recently making the switch to eight-man, Gibraltar head coach Mike Peck says it has to figure out to counteract Suring using 11-man concepts in its line play.

 

 

Tim Kowols will have the call of Friday's game between Gibraltar and Suring on 105.1 The Viking beginning at 6:30 p.m. with the pregame show followed by kickoff at 7:00.
