Gibraltar baseball went 1-1 in their two games at home on Saturday. In game one the Vikings came up just short at against Peshtigo. The final score was 7-6. Alex Laughlin hit a home run in the sixth inning to cut the lead but it was not enough for the Vikings. 

In game two Gibraltar played much better and picked up a 14-4 victory over Oconto.

The Vikings will travel to Sturgeon Bay on Tuesday with the first pitch scheduled for 5 PM as Gibraltar tries to better their seed in the playoffs. Last year they won a regional championship which was their third since 2013. In that year the Vikings defeated Manitowoc Lutheran 10-4 to win the regional championship. In that game both Austin Bauldry and Matt Hecht hit home runs. Matt Hecht was the correct answer to Saturday's trivia question.
