Members of Gibraltar's football team should be familiar with its new head coach and assistant coach.

Back in January, the Gibraltar School Board named Mike Peck as its new head football coach. The Gibraltar Elementary School physical education team helped coach the defense last year under former head coach Jim Laughlin, who decided to not pursue the vacancy after Scott Biemeret left the position right before the 2018 season. Rejoining Peck on the staff will be Tom Sawyer, who will likely continue his operation of the offense as the assistant coach after being formally approved by the district board in March.

The Vikings went 7-4 last season, making it to the first round of the WIAA eight-man football playoffs.
