Algoma continued its strong start to the season Friday night, shutting out Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah 44-0 to move to 5-1 on the season.

The Wolves have now won two straight and have found their rhythm offensively heading into one of their biggest games of the season. Algoma will welcome Sevastopol, also 5-1, on Friday, Oct. 2, with major conference standing implications on the line.

Both teams enter the matchup with just one loss, and both came against the same opponent, Valley Christian. With the regular season winding down, the meeting between the Wolves and Pioneers could play a major role in the Packerland-8 standings.

Elkhart Lake-Glenbeulah falls to 4-3 with the loss.
