Macie Zimmerman was absolutely dominant Tuesday, throwing a complete game no-hitter as Algoma softball topped St. Mary's Springs 4-0 in a sectional semifinal matchup.

Zimmerman didn't just dominate in the circle, though, she got things going offensively too, launching a two-run homer in the first inning to put the Wolves on top early. Amya Lukes went 2-for-2 at the top of the lineup and Ryley Tweedy added an RBI single to round out the scoring.

As a team, the Wolves collected six hits working through eight strikeouts to push across four runs. Zimmerman struck out six across the complete game and retired the final batter on a groundout to complete the no-no and send Algoma to the sectional final.

The Wolves will face Johnson Creek, a fellow one-seed in their respective regional, Thursday at 5pm with a trip to state on the line. Should be a good one!
