Algoma baseball edged by Wrightstown

The Algoma Wolves baseball team could get them over, but not in as they fell to Wrightstown 3-2 on Thursday.

The Wolves outhit the Tigers 10-5 and only took two less walks (3-1) than their hosts. They were trailing 2-0 in the third inning when they scratched across their first run on a RBI double from Jake Buenning. Trailing 3-1, Jonah Dahms scored on a passed ball and the Wolves loaded the bases with three outs before they were retired via strike out and a fielders' choice to end the game.

Dahms and Jacob Massey led the with twin 3-4 days at the plate while three others recorded hits. The result spoiled an otherwise good day on the mound for Charlie Prokash, who allowed three runs (2 ER), on five hits with seven strikeouts across six innings of work.
