Algoma jumps on Coleman early in big win

Algoma's welcomed parents for parents night, seniors for senior night, and picked up a solid 8-4 win over Coleman on Tuesday with Macie Zimmerman dealing in the circle and the offense backing her up with 12 hits.

 

Zimmerman went all seven innings, punching out 11 and scattering seven hits. The Wolves jumped on Coleman early, putting three on the board in the first on doubles from Zimmerman and Mackenzie Lischka followed by an RBI single from Ryley Tweedy. Lischka finished a perfect 3-for-3 on the day.

 

Natalie Ray was the run producer, driving in three despite going 1-for-4. Zimmerman, Madison Schneider, Tweedy, and Amya Lukes each added multiple hits as Algoma kept the pressure on all game long.

 

The Wolves head to Southern Door on Friday for a doubleheader with first pitch at 4:30pm.
