Algoma dominant over NEW Lutheran Tuesday

The Algoma Wolves made quick work of NEW Lutheran on Tuesday, sweeping the softball doubleheader 12-1 and 13-3.

Game one belonged to Madison Schneider. She went 3-for-3 with five RBIs, highlighted by an inside the park home run in the second that blew the game open. Macie Zimmerman was equally impressive in the circle, striking out 10 and allowing just one hit over five innings.

Game two was more of the same. Amya Lukes went 3-for-5 with an inside the park home run of her own and drove in three, while Natalie Ray was an absolute machine going 5-for-5. Mackenzie Lischka earned the win in the circle, striking out nine over six innings.

Algoma had 11 and 12 hits respectively and didn't commit an error in either game. The Wolves are clicking on all cylinders right now.

Algoma hosts Sevastopol on Friday starting at 4:30pm.
