Algoma softball travels to NEW Lutheran for doubleheader

The Algoma softball team travels to Green Bay on Tuesday for a doubleheader matchup against NEW Lutheran. 

 

The Wolves last played on Thursday when they split a doubleheader against Oconto, winning the first game 8-6 before losing 14-13 in the second game. In game one victory, the Wolves played long ball to do it with Macie Zimmerman going yard once and and Natalie Ray slugging two over the fence. Ray finished the day 2-3 and four RBI while Zimmerman was 1-4 with two RBI. The Wolves also got a two RBI day from Mackenzie Lischka. Zimmerman went the distance in the circle for the Wolves, allowing six runs (6 ER) on eight hits while striking out 11. In the game two loss, Seven Wolves players had two hits or more while Ray, Lischka, and Ryley Tweedy each registered two RBI. Lischka took the loss in the circle, allowing 14 runs (9 ER) on 10 hits while striking out four across six innings of work.

 

The Blazers are coming of an 8-7 loss to Sturgeon Bay on Monday.
