Southern Door posted the top team score in an octathlon track and field meet held in Algoma, finishing with 3,441 points across two sections.
Gibraltar placed second with 2,768 points, followed by Algoma (2,510), Oconto (2,347) and Kewaunee (2,209).
In Section A, Southern Door’s Elise Jackson delivered one of the meet’s top individual performances, compiling 1,827 points. She recorded a time of 16.01 seconds in the 100-meter hurdles, added a long jump of 16 feet, 1 inch, a discus throw of 68 feet, 11 inches, and finished with a 27.1-second run in the 200 dash.
Algoma’s Aiden Moen also turned in a strong effort in Section A, totaling 1,824 points. His performance included a 18.2-second hurdles time, a long jump of 17 feet, 5.5 inches, a discus mark of 76 feet, 1 inch, and a 25.78-second 200 dash.
In Section B, Oconto’s Dalton Bastian recorded the highest individual total of the section with 1,664 points. He posted a 12.13-second 100 dash, cleared 4 feet, 10 inches in the high jump, threw 29 feet, 4.25 inches in the shot put, and ran 2 minutes, 34.47 seconds in the 800.
Southern Door’s Damontrae Meeks followed with 1,614 points, highlighted by a 5-foot, 6-inch high jump and a 12.32-second 100 dash. Gibraltar’s Sean Neal added 1,491 points, including a 12.08-second 100 dash and a shot put of 30 feet, 9 inches.
The meet featured competitors from Algoma, Gibraltar, Kewaunee, Oconto and Southern Door.
