Wolves softball hosting Clippers for doubleheader

The Algoma softball team is preparing to host the Sturgeon Bay Clippers this Thursday.

The Wolves aim to bounce back from a 10-0 loss to Two Rivers. The Wolves only recorded four hits in the game. Macie Zimmerman turned in a strong effort in the circle despite the score, striking out seven and allowing just two earned runs over 5 1/3 innings.

While the Clippers look to build off a 10-8 victory over Green Bay NEW Lutheran. McKenna Poh had three singles, Izzy Schoeneman had a double and a single of her own, and was a force to be reckoned with on the mound with nine strikeouts. Genevieve Austad was a wall behind the plate with several blocks, and tore up the bases with her steals; she also had an in-the-park home run.

The first pitch is at 4:30 p.m.
