The Algoma Wolves softball team will get their crack at Crivitz on Tuesday after having their first attempt postponed.
In their last action, they were swept in a doubleheader against Waupun and Two Rivers in frigid conditions Saturday. In Game 1, Algoma managed just two hits in a 13-1 loss to Waupun. Despite the lopsided score, Mackenzie Lischka battled through all seven innings in the circle, striking out five. The chilly weather only seemed to tighten its grip in Game 2, where Algoma fell 10-0 to the Two Rivers Raiders. This time, the Wolves showed slight improvement at the plate, collecting four hits. Sadie Rikkola and Ella Severinsen each had one hit to give them two on the day. Macie Zimmerman turned in a strong effort in the circle despite the score, striking out seven and allowing just two earned runs over 5 1/3 innings.
First pitch is set for 4 p.m.
