The chase for Packerland Conference supremacy comes down to a pair of Kewaunee County rivals when Algoma welcomes Kewaunee Monday night.
The Wolves are a half-game behind the Storm in the Packerland standings with a loss against Kewaunee their lone blemish on the season. They are 4-1 over their last five games, including a dominating 66-17 win over Gibraltar on Friday that saw Jadyn Nellis (19 points), Reagan Schneider (12 points), and Lauren Loucks (15 points) all reach double figures.
The Storm are also 4-1 in their last five with a 51-47 defeat to Seymour the lone misstep. Their four wins all came against Packerland Conference opponents and all were by no less than 39 points.
In their previous matchup, Jade Kroll scored a game-high 21 points and Braelyn Chevalier posted 15 points in a 54-41 win over the Wolves. Nellis scored 11 points while Claire Gerdmann and Sadie Rikkola each added 10 points in the loss.
Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
