Wolves boys power past Eagles

The Algoma Wolves boys basketball team jumped out to a 48-17 lead and never looked back in a 69-48 win over Southern Door on Monday night.

Dylan Seiler led the hot start for the Wolves, scoring all 13 of his points in the first half to complement Parker Lischka’s 13 points and Braeden Leist’s 11.

The Eagles were able to reel in the Wolves in the second half thanks to the hot shooting of Eli Jadin, who hit seven 3-pointers in the frame to finish with a game-high 21 points.

The Wolves were led by Lischka’s 19 points, along with 13 each from Leist and Seiler. In addition to Mueller’s 21, the Eagles received seven points apiece from Raymond Paye and Lauden Berg.

The Wolves are back in action on Thursday when they travel to Sturgeon Bay for a game airing on U-102.1. Jacob Nate will have the call on U-102.1 beginning at 6:45 p.m. followed by the first tip at 7 p.m. The Eagles will play again on Thursday when they host Gibraltar at 7 p.m.

The orginal post had a different player for Southern Door scoring 21 points. This story has now been corrected. We regret the error.
