Wolves boys bounce Wolverines

The Algoma boys basketball team kept their winning ways rolling on Thursday night, beating Crivitz at home 59-41.

The Wolverines proved to be a worthy opponent for the Wolves in the first half, taking an early advantage and bringing a 25-22 advantage with them into the locker room. Kade and Landon Thoma did their part to ensure that would happen for the Wolverines as they combined to score 18 points, but the Wolves ensured they would not do that in the second half. The pair mustered just two points the rest of the way as the Wolves blew past the Wolverines in the second half, outscoring them 37-19. Braeden Leist tallied 12 of his game-high 21 points in the second half while Parker Lischka joined him in double-figures with 17 points. Kade Thoma led the Wolverines with 13 points on the night

The Wolves will be tested once again on Saturday when they travel to undefeated Reedsville for a 7:15 p.m. tip.
