A 43-15 halftime advantage provided more than enough cushion for the Algoma girls' basketball team's 67-39 win over Two Rivers on Monday.
Triggering the first-half blowout was Jadyn Nellis, who scored 13 of her team-high 15 points in the opening period while five other players scored at least five points in the frame. The two teams played level in the second half with more Raiders players getting into the act offensively.
In addition to Nellis' 15 points, Claire Gerdmann scored 14 points Sadie Rikkola registered 12 points, and Lauren Loucks chipped in eight points. Rylee Timm led all Raiders with 14 points.
The Wolves try to improve to 6-0 in conference Friday night and set up a first-place battle with Kewaunee when they host Gibraltar at 6 p.m.
