Wolves girls put winning streak on the line against Lions

The Algoma girls basketball team will have their two-game winning streak tested on Monday night when the Brillion Lions come to town.

 

The Wolves won both of their conference matchups last week to even their record at 2-2, handling Oconto 47-30 and topping Peshtigo 56-48. In their win over the Bulldogs, strong defense from the Wolves transitioned into an offensive explosion from Jadyn Nellis who finished with 18 points. Nellis nailed 5 three-pointers in the game, 4 of which came in the second half. Reagan Schnieder added 5 three-pointers for 15 points. 

 

The Lions, led by Emma Schuh (JR, PPG 11.1) and Kaitlyn Schuman, (FR, PPG 9.4), the Lions have had a streaky start to the season as they snapped a two-game skid with a 64-42 win over Two Rivers after have a two-game winning streak.

 

Tip-off is set for 7 p.m.
