Wolves boys waste Raiders

The Algoma boys basketball team opened their season in style with a 78-41 win over Two Rivers.

 

The Wolves made 16 shots from the field in the first half, including four three-pointers from Griffen Robinson and seven buckets (including a three pointer) from Braeden Leist to build a 42-23 lead at the break. The team added exclamation points to their rout in the second half with Leist and Parker Lischka each recording two dunks. Leist's night ended with 29 points, while Lischka added 23 points to go along with Robinson's 12 points. Zander Coupar scored 14 points and Noah Shillcox chipped in 12 points in the Raiders' loss.

 

The Wolves open Packerland Conference play on Thursday when they welcome Oconto.
