The Algoma girls' basketball team is set to open its season this Friday on the road against Denmark.
This will be the first action for the Wolves, who went 15-10 last season, finishing 3rd in the conference with a 12-4 record. The Wolves graduated three seniors from last year's team, including two of the team's top four scorers. The team does welcome back Bristol Schmidt (9.5 ppg last year), Jadyn Nellis (8.8 ppg), and Claire Gerdmann (4.7 ppg) back to the squad.
Meanwhile, Denmark, the Wolves' first opponent, has already played their season opener, defeating Kewaunee 49-46.
The tip-off is at 7:00 PM.
