Algoma battled throughout Tuesday’s Packerland matchup but fell to Peshtigo in three sets.
The Wolves opened the first set strong, keeping pace early and trailing just 7-8 before the Bulldogs went on a short run to pull ahead 13-8. Algoma continued to fight but dropped the opener 25-13.
In the second set, Algoma’s energy and defense kept things tight through the midway point before another late push gave Peshtigo the 25-14 win.
The Bulldogs came out strong to start the third, and a highlight moment came when senior Camryn Brissette reached her 1,000th career assist for Peshtigo. Algoma couldn’t recover from the early deficit, falling 25-9 to close out the match.
Peshtigo moves to 22-10 overall and 6-1 in Packerland play, while Algoma sits at 4-19 overall and 1-6 in conference. The Wolves will look to finish the regular season strong when they travel to face conference leader Oconto on Thursday.
