Wolves battle hard in Packerland matchup as Brissette hits milestone for Bulldogs

Algoma battled throughout Tuesday’s Packerland matchup but fell to Peshtigo in three sets.

The Wolves opened the first set strong, keeping pace early and trailing just 7-8 before the Bulldogs went on a short run to pull ahead 13-8. Algoma continued to fight but dropped the opener 25-13.

In the second set, Algoma’s energy and defense kept things tight through the midway point before another late push gave Peshtigo the 25-14 win.

The Bulldogs came out strong to start the third, and a highlight moment came when senior Camryn Brissette reached her 1,000th career assist for Peshtigo. Algoma couldn’t recover from the early deficit, falling 25-9 to close out the match.

Peshtigo moves to 22-10 overall and 6-1 in Packerland play, while Algoma sits at 4-19 overall and 1-6 in conference. The Wolves will look to finish the regular season strong when they travel to face conference leader Oconto on Thursday.
