The Roncalli Jets picked up a solid 3-0 victory over the Algoma Wolves in non-conference play, earning their third win of the season improving to 3-7-4. It was a strong all-around showing for the Jets, who controlled possession and capitalized on key opportunities in front of goal.
For Algoma (8-5-2, 6-3 Packerland), the loss marks a brief stumble as they continue a strong season that’s seen them near the top of the conference standings the whole way. They hold second, ahead of Providence Academy who is in line for the Wolves next week, October 13th at 4 p.m. Algoma defeated Providence Academy 3-1 earlier this year (Sept. 18) and the matchup could shake up the standings.
Providence Academy, currently fourth in the Packerland, is riding a three-match win streak with contests against Sturgeon Bay (Oct. 9) and Kenosha Christian Life (Oct. 11) before facing Algoma.
